The Maryland Renaissance Festival is a pretty big deal out here. The thing goes on for nearly a month.I had been to mid evil times before but never a renaissance festival. After living out here for 6 years I figured it was finally time for me to see what all the fuss was about.

The festival actually has it's own fairgrounds, and for good reason. There is an entire village setup with permanent shops and a jousting arena. This place was huge! Far larger than I was expecting.

The place was also very crowded. Thankfully we road the motorcycle which entitled us to parking right by the entrance (love it).

All in all it was a fun trip. I probably won't go back year after year but it was worth seeing once. There is plenty of food, plenty of games, and plenty of shows to see.
